A poem I wrote when I was 16, its a bit corny and I can't remember all the words but the meaning behind it still stands...
Have you ever seen the eyes,
Of a mother when her daughter cries,
Dreaming dreams of love so true,
Little dreams of me and you.
Remember the shopping and all the fun,
Remember the road trips in the sun.
Please don't cry when I walk down the aisle,
Even if you think I'm walking a mile.
Tuck me in close and tight,
This is one girl you raised right!
58 years ago a woman named Marie gave birth to a beautiful blonde haired, blue eyed baby. 15 years later that young woman gave birth to a son. 29 years ago, when she was the same age that I am now, that same girl had a little baby girl of her own and named her Danielle. Without her I wouldn't be here today. Because of her I am strong, independent, outgoing, and above all kind. I am made in her image, and I am proud to say that I look just like her. All my life I have looked up to her and hoped that I could be like her. I love you Mom! Here's to 29 more years of having to put up with my chaos!
Happy Birthday Mom
