I Love all the colors of the Rainbow
The world was not made in black and white. Sometimes you just have to sit back and marvel at all the colors the world has to offer. Even my little caterpillar friend up there (I am not an artist) does not do it justice. We take for granted the mere fact that we can see these colors. Think of all the people in the world who are blind and have never had the joy of seeing these beautiful creations. Think of what the world would be without color, dull and listless, without life, pallid and ashen. Where would we be without color? Would you have bought the car you drive (you know you thought of the color when you bought it), would you live in a red brick house if it was all black or a log cabin with white wood instead of cherry? You wouldn't blush at the sight of a cute boy, you wouldn't worry about what to wear because everything would be the same. No need for makeup (ok that's a plus for me!), no need to worry that blondes have more fun. This is all starting to sound like a very boring life! Thank god we have color in our lives! We see and use color every day. We stop at red lights, go on green, we eat foods of different colors, we wear color coordinated outfits (don't look at my pink socks with my blue pants right now!), everything in the world has color and we are blessed to be apart of it.
My 5 year old Avery came to me and told me his favorite color is Red, always has been-always will be. I asked him "Do you know anything that has the color red?". He smiled and said softly, "You know, that thing that we see some days, that goes across like this (opens up his arms), and it has red, purple, green, and blue.". I said to him..."What is it called?", and he whispered to me "Its a Rainbow".

I love colours! I need colour in my life!
ReplyDeleteAh, the precious little voices of 5 year olds. Wish they could be that little forever! My favorite color is and always will be the typical girly default of "Pink"!
